Hello there! We’re Ana and Alvaro, a couple from Barcelona. We’ve always loved travelling and staying at small hotels that offer friendly, warm service, peace and respect for the environment. The places we discovered that ticked all these boxes were always the ones we had the fondest memories of. One day we decided to make our dream come true, which was to run our own country house, and make it into the kind of place we loved to stay.
We started looking, and when we discovered Mas de l’Arlequí, we knew right away that we had found the perfect place. Mas de l’Arlequí may not be a luxurious place but it is one of quality, where we pay the utmost attention to detail and your comfort. Our aim is to provide a place where you can disconnect and feel special during your stay with us.
WELCOME TO MAS DE L’ARLEQUÍ!About the house
Mas de l’Arlequí is just an hour and half drive from Barcelona, and 1.5 kilometres from the village of Rojals. The country house, which dates back to 1797, is set in the middle of the Catalan countryside, in the heart of the Prades mountains. It has five double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
All the rooms offer views over the gardens and the mountains, and are decorated in a style that reflects the surroundings so that you feel at home, while at the same time providing all the amenities of a hotel. The lounge area has a large open stone fire where you can read, listen to music or play board games. The surrounding gardens have several furnished nooks where you can enjoy the good weather, as well as a small swimming pool with sun loungers to keep you cool in the summer.
Behind the house there is a stunning clifftop from which you can watch spectacular sunsets over the mountains. Beyond the house you can find lush green forest with a wide variety of flora and fauna, and rivers where you can cool down in summer. There are also walking and cycling paths suitable for all ages and levels that we will be delighted to recommend.
